“Thanks to the KU fans, we were able to win.”
Korea University won 62-45 against Yonsei University in the 2023 KUSF University Basketball U-League at Hwajung Gymnasium on Nov. 25.
On the day, Park led the team’s offense with 16 points and five rebounds, including four three-pointers. His skillful and aggressive shot selection, especially from beyond the three-point line, helped swing the game in KU’s favor.
Park said, “I think the game against Yonsei is bigger than other games because it’s a rivalry, but this time I was less nervous than usual. I didn’t have any thoughts, so I even doubted if it was a good thing. However, we were able to win thanks to all the players playing well,” he said of the victory.
Park continued, “I’m actually not 100%. I had the flu a while ago and I’m still doing my teacher training. Tomorrow is my last day. I have to wake up early in the morning, which is very different from my previous lifestyle, so that’s the hardest part. Still, I’m very shy, so I can’t express it well, but I’m always grateful for the attention I’ve received.”
Park didn’t forget to thank the KU fans. Even during the game, whenever his three-point shot went through the rim, he would look out at the crowd and perform a ceremony.메이저놀이터
“It’s not because I’m a KU student, but objectively speaking, KU fans cheered harder than Yonsei. I think the fans made the victory. I kept doing the three-point shot ceremony because I wanted to like it as much as the fans.”
