Manchester United are set to spend big to sign Mason Mount.
After finishing third in the league this season, qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL), and winning the English Football League Cup (EFL Cup), the Red Devils are looking to make an even bigger splash in the league and UCL next season. Like this season, when they broke out of the relegation zone for the first time in six years, they’ll be looking to win trophies.
To do so, they’ll need a strong transfer window. The club has already had one summer transfer window since Eric ten Hagg’s arrival, but it’s clear that more needs to be done. The Red Devils will use the upcoming summer transfer window to get rid of unnecessary resources and fill the squad with players who can start at any time. That’s why Kim Min-jae has been linked with the club, as he’s performed alongside the likes of Rafael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
There is one player that United are planning to sign. It’s Mount. A Chelsea youth product, Mount was touted to be one of the Blues’ biggest stars growing up. Even at a young age, he was a fan favorite, leading Chelsea’s offense, but this season, he’s struggled and hung his head in shame. This has led to talk of new manager Mauricio Pochettino looking to overhaul his squad, with Man United and Liverpool interested in the player.

United are currently in talks with Mount over a contract, and personal terms are not an issue for him. Negotiations between the clubs have also begun. United believe that £50 million is the right price for Mount.”
